Spicy Ginger Dipping Sauce

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3/4 cup hot sauce (your choice)
In a small bowl, mix ginger and garlic; let stand for 10 minutes so flavors can develop. Add soy sauce and hot sauce, mix. Use for chicken wings or steak fondue.
Add an extra 1/2 tsp of ginger to make a flavorful Oriental-style barbecue sauce for Chinese pork ribs; also great for broiled or grilled chops and steak.
