*char Siu Sauce

1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon dry sherry
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chinese five-spice powder
3 quarter-size slices fresh ginger, c; rushed

Extracted from a Char Siu Ding (Pork) recipe. Should be tested. In a pan, combine soy, honey, sugar, sherry, salt, five-spice and ginger. Heat for one minute to dissolve sugar. From the Sunset Chinese Cookbook.
