Chinese Five Spice Powder-Martha Stewart Livi

2 tablespoon whole star anise (about 10)
1 tablespoon szcchuan peppercorns
1 stick cinnamon
2 tablespoon fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves

1. Place all ingredients in a saute pan over medium heat and dry-roast, shaking pan often, until they give off an aroma, about 5 minutes. 2.
