Chinese Barbeque Sauce - Char Sui

1/2 cup sherry
4 cloves garlic
6 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoon plum sauce
2 tablespoon black bean paste
6 tablespoon hoisin sauce
2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon chinese 5-spice
1/2 cup sugar

Mix together well. Heat in double boiler - add cornstarch for thickening.

Yield: 13 servings
