Barbeque Sauce - Oriental

1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 garlic, cloves
1/2 teaspoon anise seed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cloves, ground
Mix thoroughly and allow flavors to blend for at least one hour.
