Chop Suey Chicken Or Beef

1/2 cup butter
3 cup beef or chicken -- cooked
2 cup onion -- chopped
2 cup celery -- chopped
2 cup hot water
2/3 cup cold water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 can bean sprouts
4 teaspoon soy sauce
1 brown gravy -- to color
1 dash salt and pepper
Melt butter. Add meat, onions, celery, salt and pepper to taste, saute til wilted. Add hot water, cover and cook. Add rinsed bean sprouts, and stir. Heat to boiling. Add flavoring and thickening ingredients, stir lightly, cook five minutes more.
