1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3 cup water
6 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 cup rice vinegar (or white
1 vinegar, use 2 t less)
1/4 cup orange juice (or 1 t
1 oj concentrate)
3 tablespoon ketchup or tomato puree
3 tablespoon lemon juice (or vinegar)
2 teaspoon regular soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ginger root, minced
1/4 teaspoon hot chili oil, optional
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
1 tablespoon pickled ginger,
1 shredded, optional
Mix cornstarch and water. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat until glossy and thickened.
Yield: 1 batch
