Baking Powder Used Widely In Chinese Cuisine

Before we think about the best baking powder recipes, many of us doubt about how the baking powder is different from baking soda. In the case of baking soda, it contains only a single ingredient called sodium bicarbonate. On the other hand, in the case of baking powder, it contains monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate and either sodium aluminum sulfate or sodium acid pyrophosphate. Chinese use baking powder for tenderizing meat, pork and for softening chicken. It works by neutralizing the acid and raising the pH level on the meat surface. In turn, the outside of the meat turns alkaline. As a result, it becomes safe to use particularly for individuals with acidity issues.

When it comes to using baking powder for cooking, you will have to use a teaspoon of baking powder per cup of plain flour. When you use it in easy baking soda recipes that contain acidic substances like buttermilk, curds or lemon juice, the recipes will activate baking powder more effectively. It means that when your baking soda home recipes contain a medium of acid, it is better to use a little quantity of baking powder. In turn, you can get the intended effects for which you use the baking powder. Just a small quantity of this powder can bring intended results from your recipes for sure.
