Wax Gourd Pie Recipe
For wax gourd lovers, this recipe is chewy and tasty. It has a crispy pie skin and a soft stuffing wax gourd paste. You can even replace the stuffing with any paste you like.
50g wax gourd strips
100g dumpling skin
1 egg yolk
- Mince the way gourd into small pieces to make sure better mouthfeel.
- If you don’t like way gourd paste, try to use mince char sir pork as a meaty stuffing, which has a much better taste.
Mince wax gourd strips into a paste.
Place the wax gourd paste on a dumpling skin.
Fold the dumpling skin from the side to the middle. Fold it tightly.
Make it into a cylindrical shape.
Brush a layer of egg yolk liquid.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Roast the pies in the oven for 10 minutes. Serve.
