2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup hot water
8 ice cubes
1 cup evaporated milk
Optional
Fresh mango slices for garnish
Lime wedges

Mango Pudding Recipes

Mango pudding is a popular dim sum dessert, it captures the glorious flavour of mango like no other, it is texture is silky rich and it is flavour, simply wonderful. Fresh cream is called for in the original recipes but evaporated milk gives it the same richness without the fat.

If you don’t like too sweet, you can put less sugar.

Step 1

Add gelatin and sugar to hot water and mix until dissolved and smooth, in another large bowl, mix evaporated milk, mango puree and ice cubes.

Step 2

Pour gelatin mixture into mango mixture and stir until the for about 3 hours or until it set.
Serve dip, jelly mould briefly in hot water then turn pudding out on to platter. Squeeze on the same lime juice, garnish with mango slices if desired and serve.
