Cheese and Bean Paste Round Cake Recipe

1. Flatten the cake before frying. It can make sure the cheese slices melt and stay on the cake.
2. You can use minced pork or minced char siu as the stuffing. The meaty stuffing can make the cake full of meat juice.
Mix glutinous rice powder and wheat flour. Then pour into a circle on a work surface. Add sugar, lard, water, and stir until melt.
Mix well all ingredients on the work surface. Knead into a dough.
Roll the dough into a long strip.
Sperate the dough into 30g small doughs.
Roll the bean paste into a long strip. Cut into small pieces, about 15g each.
Use hand to flatten the dough and wrap the bean paste as the stuffing.
Make it into a cake shape.
Place the cake into a steamer. Use high heat to steam for 8 minutes. Remove the cake from the steamer and allow it to cool. Add oil and fry the cake until golden brown. Place the cheese slices on the cake and use the remaining heat to let it melt. Serve.
