Fried Sesame Round Cake Recipe
This sesame round cake is simple and fast. With one bite, you can enjoy a strong sesame aroma with sweet lotus paste.
1. When coating with white sesame, dip the dough into the water to make it sticky. In this way, the white sesame will not drop during steaming.
2. You can replace lotus paste with sesame paste or any paste you like.
Add water and sugar into a pot. Bring to a boil. Add glutinous rice powder and wheat flour. Stir well. Continue to heat until cooked.
Remove the dough into a work surface. Mix well.
Add lard into the dough and knead until smooth and tender.
Roll the dough into a long strip.
Divide the dough into 30g small doughs. Separate the lotus paste into 15g each.
Use the palm of the hand to flatten the dough, then wrap the lotus paste with the dough.
Make the dough into a cake shape.
Coat the pie with white sesame. Then place on a steamer. Use high heat to steam for 6 minutes until cooked. Remove from heat, and allow to cool. Add oil to a frying pan and fry until golden brown. Serve.
