Herbal Pigeon Soup Recipe
This pigeon soup is a cost-effective supplement for our body. With the enhancement of Chinese herbals, such as radix Adenophorae, radix polygonati, and Gorgon fruit, pigeon soup is good for the immune system and makes people fresh and comfortable.
1. You can add other herbal to spice bags and cook together. Simmering pigeon meat with herbal ingredients makes the soup to be nutrient-rich. It is easy for us to absorb the healthy ingredients.
2. After simmering for 3 hours, the meat would be soft, but no tender. Drinking soup only if you don’t like meat.
Wash and cut pigeon into large pieces. Blanch into boiling water until medium-well. Wash and blanch lean pork until slightly cooked.
Add Chinese yam, Goji, radix Adenophorae, radix polygonati, Gorgon fruit, red dates, and dangshen into a spice bag. Rinse the spice bag until clean. Drain water.
Add water to a stew pot. Add the spice bag, pigeon, and lean pork. Bring to a boil then switch to small heat and cook for 3 hours. Add salt and chicken powder for seasoning. Serve.
