Roasted Duck Head With Overlord Flower Soup Recipe

This soup is special with the roasted duck's head. You can get roasted duck's head from roasted duck or Asian butcher’s store. The taste has a special overlord flower aroma. If you don’t like eating duck’s head, you can drink soup only. But the duck’s head is juicy and delicious after stewing.

Tips

1.  Fresh overlord flower has a sticky liquid, you can blanch it into boiling water to remove excess sticky liquid and prevent oily mouthfeel.

2. If you prefer roasted duck flavor, no need to add ginger slices for stewing. It is not recommended to add ginger slices because it can have more roasted duck aroma.

Cut overlord flowers into small pieces. Wash and clean the flower.

Add roasted duck’s head into a stew pot. Add water and boil for 30 minutes.

Add overlord flower to the stew pot and continue to stew for another 30 minutes. Add salt for seasoning. Serve.
