Chinese Steamed Bread Recipe
Steamed Bread is a street snack in Henan, called Shui Lao Mo in Chinese. The cooking method is steaming, which makes it different. Although its taste maybe not various, but its light wheat aroma is attractive, especially for the people on diet and budget.

Kitchen Tips
1. Don’t make the dough too hard, it’d better make the dough soft.
2. When steaming the dough, coat some flour to prevent sticking on the steaming pan.

Steps
20 minutes | Add warm water to the flour and make a dough. Let it sit for 20 minutes. |
10 minutes | Knead the dough evenly. Divide into small doughs evenly. Then roll into flat, thin, round doughs. |
20 minutes | Add water to a steamer, bring to a boil. Steam a dough over high heat for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and use remaining heat to braise for another 5 minutes. Steam one dough each time to prevent sticking together. |
