Tips

1. The salty fish head and dried cabbage already have salty flavor, thus, no need to add extra salt. For better taste, add a little chicken power if you like.

2. You can use any salty fish head for this dish. The bigger fish heads make the soup better because it has a more edible part and can be juicy.

Soak salted fish's head into water 1 hour in advance, then rinse and clean.

Soak dried cabbage half a day in advance. After that, rinse with water and cut into strips.

Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the salty fish head, dried cabbage, and ginger slices into the pot. Cook with high heat until boiling. Then switch into low heat and continue to cook for 2 hours. Serve.
