- 1/2 hen
- 3 star anise
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 red dates
- 1 green onions
- 1 ginger
- 1 wax gourd
- 1 goji
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Remove the fat under the skin to avoid excess oil in the chicken soup.
Cut the chicken into pieces. Put into a skillet. Add cold water until cover chicken.
Heat until chicken turns white. Remove from heat and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
Add chicken pieces to the pot and add 5 bowls of water to the pot.
Wash star anise, bay leaves, and red date. Remove root of green onion, wash and cut into strips. Peel ginger, wash and cut into slices. Peel wax gourd and cut into 0.4 cm slices.
Add star anise, bay leaves, red dates, green onion, ginger slices to the pot. Then add wax gourd.
