Wax Gourd and Job’s Tears Frog Soup Recipe
Frog meat is tender than most red meat. With wax gourd and job’s tears, the soup is lightly sweet and a special frog’s meat aroma.
500g wax gourd
50g Job’s tears
30g lotus leaves
1. No need to remove the skin of wax gourd. It contains a lot of fiber and is a good ingredient to help bowel movement. After stewing, it is soft and edible.
2. Add 3-5 ginger slices to remove the bad taste of frog meat.
Remove frogs' heads, skin, and organs. Clean and then cut into small pieces.
Cut wax gourd into large pieces. Soak job’s tears and lotus leaves into water for 1 hour, then wash and clean.
Add water to a stew pot. Bring to a boil, then add all ingredients into the pot. Bring to a boil again and continue to stew for 2 hours. Use low heat for stewing. Add salt for seasoning. Serve.
