Chinese Glutinous Rice Cake Recipe

Chinese Glutinous Rice Cake is called “DaGao“ in Chinese. In the making process, this cake uses high-quality glutinous rice and repeatedly hit until done. Therefore, it is called DaGao cake. When serving, dip the cake with bean flour and sugar. It is sweet and soft. The glutinous rice fragrance is appetizing as well. Eating a bite brings a sense of happiness.

Kitchen Tips

1. Replace water with coconut water to make cake sweetener.

2. Glutinous rice is very sticky. When cutting the glutinous rice cake, soak the knife in the warm water after cutting to prevent sticking the rice.

Preheat the wok. Pour into soybean powder. Fry over small fire until light brown. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Wash and clean glutinous rice. Add water to a pot, bring to a boil. Steam glutinous rice until done. Add a little sugar to the rice and stir well.

Put the steamed glutinous rice into the stone bowl. Use a wood mallet beat, while sprinkling a little warm water. Beat until no rice shape.

Cut the glutinous rice cake into small cubes. And coat with soybean flour. Sprinkle with honey. Serve.
