Kitchen Tips

1. You can use white sugar or rock sugar.

2. The ratio of sugar and water should be 3:1. Or the syrup color and taste will be changed.

3. Be caution, the sweet potatoes are hot after frying.

4. You can add osmanthus sugar, raisin, rose slices to the paste. It brings a favorable sweetness.

Wash sweet potatoes. Add water to a skillet to boil sweet potatoes. Peel and cut into pieces. Put it into a food processor to blend into a paste.

Add white sugar and water under a 3:1 ratio into the pot.  Simmer over a small fire to make a syrup.

Add sweet potatoes to a pot. Add the syrup and sesame oil to fry until mix well and evenly coated with syrup. Remove from heat and serve.
