Chinese Mustard Dipping Sauce Recipe

An ideal dipping sauce for mustard lover. Although it not quite popular in China, but it still worth a try because it gives a strong finishing touch for every food you eat.

Tips

1. Use boiling water. If water is not hot, the paste is not sticky and the powder cannot dissolve.

2. Use sesame oil can bring more aroma. But if you like a pure mustard flavor, only use olive oil.

Pour mustard powder into a bowl, slowly stir in the boiling water. Mix thoroughly into a paste, set aside.

Allow mustard paste cool. Then pour into the boiling water until water cover the paste.

Cover and let sit for 5 hours. Pour off excess water to remove the bitter taste of mustard.

Add all the seasonings to the paste and stir well. Serve as a dipping sauce.
