Easy Steamed Lotus Paste Bun Recipe
This is a creative bun recipe. By making the bun in a normal, then use a board or knife to create a decorative design on the bun’s skin. It has a lot of funs when making it with families.
8g baking powder
30g lotus paste
- You can make any decorative design on the buns if you like.
- If you do not like lotus paste, use sesame paste or minced char siu instead.
Mix flour and baking powder. Pour into a circle on a clean work surface. Add yeast, sugar, and water in the middle area.
Stir until sugar melt. Then stir in the four powder.
Knead the dough until smooth and tender. Use a plastic wrap to cover the dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Cut the dough into 80g each.
Flatten the dough into bun skin. Use it to wrap the lotus paste as the stuffing.
Make it into eggs’s shape.
Use a board to make a decorative design on the buns.
Place the buns into a steamer. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Use high heat to steam for 20 minutes. Serve.
