Steamed Oat Flavour Corn Bun Recipe
These buns are special with its mushroom and oat aroma. By adding snake mushroom, carrot, and black fungus as stuffing, its taste is aromatic with full of vegetable flavor.
100g oat powder
1.5g baking powder
25g bread improver
50g snake butter
50g black fungus
7g chicken powder
- When making bun skin, make sure the middle is thick and edges are thin. It makes the buns easier to be wrapped.
- Add shiitake mushroom as stuffing if you like. It will bring an appetizing aroma.
Pour the flour on a clean work surface. Add oat powder, baking powder, yeast, sugar, and water in the middle area.
Stir until sugar melt. Then stir in the flour powder.
Knead the dough until smooth and tender.
Use a plastic wrap to cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into small doughs, about 30g each.
Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough into round bun skins.
Mince all stuffing ingredients. Mix well.
Use bun skin to wrap the stuffing.
Place the buns into a steamer. Use high heat to steam for 8 minutes. Serve.
