Fried Apple Pastry Recipe
This pastry is special with its stuffing - we use minced apple. Because apple is sour and sweet. After boiling, the apple becomes soft and juicy. It is an excellent stuffing for a special Chinese pastry.

400g flour
40g lard
1 egg
Dough 2 Ingredients
100g beef tallow
100g lard
400g flour
Stuffing Ingredients
150g minced apple
25g sugar
30g cornstarch
20g water

Tips
- After cut apples into small pieces, place it into saltwater to prevent to be oxidized.
- Do not overcook the apple, or it will be too soft.

Steps
| Mix well all dough 2 ingredients |
| Use plastic wrap to cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes. |
| For dough 1, pour flour into a circle. Add lard, sugar, egg liquid and water. Stir well until sugar melt. |

| Knead until the dough become smooth and tender. |
| Use plastic wrap to cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes. |
| Use dough 1 to wrap dough 2. |
| Flatten into a rectangle. Fold it 3 times. Then flatten it again. Repeat the process 3 times. |
| Roll the dough into a long strip. Place into a fridge let it cool to a hard dough strip. |
| Cut the dough strip into slices. |
| Flatten into thin slices. Set aside. |
| Add water to cook the minced apple. Remove apple from hot water and add it to a bowl. Add water and cornstarch into apple. Mix well to make it as stuffing. |
| Use dough skin to wrap the stuffing. |
| Make it into pastry shape. Top with apple strips as decoration. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Roast the pastry until cooked. Serve. |
