Fried Shrimp and Asparagus Lettuce Recipe
Fried Shrimp and Lettuce is a daily dish in China. A mixed white and bright green color of this dish is really attractive-yummy, healthy and easy. Both ingredients are tender and smooth, which is irresistible for every foodie.
200g asparagus lettuce
100g dried shrimp
- In the last step, heating over medium heat can speed up the mixture of shrimp and asparagus lettuce’s taste. And it reduces the amount of soup, which enhance the soup taste.
- Dried shrimp can easily absorb the water and spread its seafood taste in the soup. It is a fresh, aromatic taste, but no fishy smell. The steamed shrimp soup is the key to bring the dish to the next level. DO NOT water these delicious steamed shrimp soup.
Wash and clean shrimps, put them in a small bowl, add a little warm water to let it soft. Then steam in a steamer for 10 minutes.
Remove the shrimps from the soup. Collect steamed shrimp soup into a bowl and set aside. Drain the shrimps. Cut off the tail and cut into slices.
Add oil to the pot and saute shrimp slice until medium well.
Remove root and leaves of asparagus lettuce. Wash and clean.
Slice the asparagus lettuce then cut into 3cm strips.
Add water into a pot and bring to a boil. Blanch asparagus lettuce strips until cooked. Remove from heat and drain.
Add vegetable oil to a skillet to saute lettuce for a while.
Add shrimp and the steamed shrimp soup to the skillet. Season with cooking wine, salt and chicken powder, stir-fry over medium heat until flavorful. Serve.
