Tips

1. In the step1, when the water is boiling, add the flour gradually to spills of hot water. It also helps to make the dough evenly.

2. If you don’t have a mold, you can make it as any shape you like. Basically, the flat shape is more suitable for steaming.

Add water and sugar into a pot. Bring to a boil. Then add wheat flour and starch and stir well.

When the four are cooked, remove the dough to a work surface.

Add lard to the dough and knead until smooth and elastic.

Cut the dough into small doughs, about 30g each. Press to make the doughs flat.
