1 red peppers
15g coriander
10g chives

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 teaspoons sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
100g spirit alcohol

10g star anise
10g cinnamon
5g bay leaves
1 green onions
1 ginger

Marinated Mantis Shrimp Recipe

Marinated Mantis Shrimp is a Northeastern Chinese cuisine. It cold in Chinese northeastern area, people love alcohol. Mantis Shrimp has a strong Chinese liquor flavor. The light taste mantis shrimp mix with strong alcohol aromatic, which enhance the fresh seafood taste.

Tips

  1. Use soy sauce or light soy sauce. Don’t use dark soy sauce. To make dish appetizing, make sure the color of the marinade is in a light color.
  1. If you don‘t like alcohol, add a little to reduce the alcohol aromatic. The feature of alcohol is to remove fishy smell and make mantis shrimp tender.
  1. The marinade can keep mantis shrimp fresh for a long time. But do not add tap water or oil in it, or the marinade will go bad soon. You can enjoy mantis shrimp any time, but make sure marinade should be clean and clear. If it goes bad, the marinade has floating oil and not clear.

Wash and cut chives and coriander into strips. Remove seeds from red peppers and cut into pepper rings.

Preheat the pot and add oil. Fry ginger slices, garlic sliced, pepper rings until aromatic. Move to a bowl and add coriander strips. Mix well.

Wash mantis shrimp with a brush. Drain and put on a plate.

Take a clean gauze, soak it in spirit alcohol. And cover the shrimp.

Add water to a skillet. Add spice bag, soy sauce, chicken powder, sugar, white pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let it cool. Pour into a clean container. Add a little spirit alcohol to make a sauce.

Marinade the mantis shrimps in the sauce for about 12 hours. Remove mantis shrimps into a plate.
