Steamed Lotus Paste Bun Recipe
Steamed Lotus Paste Bun is a common food for breakfast. The ingredients are cheap, but the taste is not bad. If you love sweet food, you should try this lotus paste bun for sure.
500g low-gluten flour
4g baking powder
25g bread improver
30g lotus paste
1. Make sure to use high heat to steam the buns, otherwise, it cannot have a tender mouthfeel.
2. You can replace the lotus paste with sesame paste or any paste you like.
Mix low-gluten flour and baking powder. Pour the powder mixture into a circle on a clean work surface. Add sugar, yeast, bread improver, and water. Stir until sugar melt.
Stir in the flour mixture. Knead into a dough.
Knead until the dough become smooth and tender.
Use plastic wrap to cover the dough for 30 minutes.
Cut the doughs into small doughs, about 30g each. Use hand or rolling pin to flatten the dough.
Use the dough to wrap the lotus paste.
Make it into a buns’ shape.
Place the buns into a steamer. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Use high heat to steam for 8 minutes. Serve.
